- Height 83 m (272 ft), about 30 m taller than Niagara's Horseshoe Falls (about 51 m); Niagara is far wider.
- Location: mouth of the Montmorency River at the St. Lawrence, on the Beauport (Québec City) / Boischatel boundary,
  about 11-13 km and 15-20 minutes by car from Old Québec (Autoroute 440 east, exit 325).
- Run by Sépaq. Since 2019 a per-person access fee applies; free for ages 0-17 and for residents of the
  Communauté métropolitaine de Québec with proof of residency. Cable car, zipline and via ferrata are paid extras.
  The annual Parcs Québec card does not cover the site.
- Cable car (1993): 450 m, about 80 m rise, about 2 min 44 s; round trip with unlimited same-day rides.
  2026-27: daily 1 Apr-1 Nov, 19 Dec-3 Jan (not 25 Dec), 6 Feb-31 Mar; closed 2 Nov-18 Dec and 4 Jan-5 Feb.
- Panoramic staircase: 487 steps, summer only. Suspension bridge over the crest. Zipline 300 m (16 May-12 Oct 2026).
  Via ferrata: one route, 260 m, age 12+.
- Manoir Montmorency built 1781; Duke of Kent lived there 1791-1794; burned 1993, rebuilt. Open all year 9:00-17:00
  except 25 Dec and 1-3 Jan.
- Winter: the Sugar Loaf (pain de sucre) ice cone and ice climbing; staircase closed.
- Battle of Beauport (Montmorency) 31 July 1759. 30 Sept 1885: power from the falls lit Dufferin Terrace.
- Grands Feux Loto-Québec fireworks have been fired from the river between Québec and Lévis since 2008, not at the falls.
